Across the sea
in a Tub to Dub
January, and it's time for my first 2009 trip to Ireland for
a week of 'Recycle Magic' shows in and around Ireland's capital; the
first batch of shows were for Dublin City Council - a big thank you
to Clare Egan & Gary Sullivan for inviting me - and then on to
Fingal County Council, where I was the guest of
Trish Kennedy, from the Environment Deparment.

The shows for Dublin City Council were all a great success and then it was straight on to the Fingal County Council area. This was my first time working in the Fingal area and thanks to Trish Kennedy from the environment department and a warm welcome from all the schools, it was a memorable. I visited five schools in all, with enthusiastic audiences in every one.

Back Home and 'Feeling Good' at Ludworth Primary
Back home and a visit to Ludworth Primary School in County Durham. The Headmaster Barrie Ivil invited me to the school to present my healthy lifestyle show, 'Feel Good - Feel Magic. The students met some of my special friends and all had a great time.

Recycling all the way to Limerick
Off to Limerick City for my second ever working visit as Magician Marvin. I have worked in the city before, a few years ago I was stiltwalking in and around the centre and featured in the parade. So it was nice to be here again with my 'Recycle Magic' show. For the first two days I visited schools in the city, followed by two days around the county, working for Limerick City and Limerick County Council respectively.

For the second part of the week I was off out into the county to visit some country schools. I always have fun finding the different locations, and with the help of a map, sat nav and some of the teacher's local knowledge, I usually arrive on time. On the first day I visited three schools: Bulgaden NS, Effin NS, Glenroe NS, and received a warm welcome from all.
